Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his wife, Laureen, welcomed Er Shun and Da Mao—pandas from China—to Toronto. “It has been more than 20 years since Canadians have had the opportunity to see giant pandas in our zoos. And friends today, our wait is almost over,” said Harper. The pair of fuzzy ambassadors will spend the next ten years at two zoos in the nation fostering peace, making children say “wow,” and, you know, mating.
