Gabrielle Giffords has hit another milestone in her recovery from a shooting in January. Just weeks after a bullet passed through her head, the Arizona representative was able to make a verbal request for toast with her breakfast at a rehabilitation facility in Houston on Monday. While doctors anticipate a lengthy recuperation process, her speaking is the latest in a line of signs that Giffords is recovering faster than might be expected. Giffords was shot point-blank and six others were killed in the January 8 shooting in Tucson.
