Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich blasted Donald Trump on Wednesday for his recent “self-destructive” actions and comments. “Trump is still behaving like as though it was the primaries and there were 17 candidates,” Gingrich told the Fox Business Network. “He has not made the transition to being the potential president of the United States, which is a much tougher league. People are going to watch you every single day.” Gingrich, who was on the shortlist to be Trump’s running mate, also rebuked the GOP nominee by saying he was fully behind John McCain and Paul Ryan in their primary contests. He ultimately said he hopes Trump can “take a deep breath and learn these lessons.”
