Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani once famously told his gay friends that “if it becomes legal in New York, you’ll be one of the first ones I’ll marry,” but he’s now apparently reneging on that promise. Howard Koeppel and Mark Hsiao let Giuliani stay with them in 2001 when his marriage was falling apart—and occupied front-page space in New York’s tabloids. Ten years later, Koeppel said the 2008 Republican presidential candidate has not returned any of his calls.
