'Glee' Stars Signs Book Deal

TV may now be in summer mode, but there is no rest for the Gleeks. Glee star Chris Colfer signed a two-book deal with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. His debut will be an adventure novel called The Land of Stories, which is set to hit stores in summer 2012. “When I was ten years old, I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance,” Colfer said of his first book. There is no current release date for the 21-year-old actor’s second as-of-yet untitled novel. Colfer already has some writing experience: He recently penned the scripts for a Disney Channel pilot called The Little Leftover Witch and an indie feature, Struck by Lightning.
