Due to a computer failure, London airspace was closed for the most of Friday afternoon, but is now open again. At Heathrow, flights were experiencing delays and the airport said some planes would be turned away. While incoming flights to London’s Gatwick continued to land, departing flights were grounded. Stansted also announced that departing flights were suspended. The cause of the malfunction remains unknown.
