Led by feminist icon Gloria Steinem, a group of female peace activists crossed the border between North and South Korea to promote reconciliation. The group of 30 took a bus through the demilitarized zone on Thursday. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the division of the peninsula. The women had been staying in Pyongyang for several days before making the crossing, and had been accused of being used by the North for propaganda.
