Facebook and Google continue to become intertwined. Facebook comments can now be searched through Google, which will make a difference at least for those looking to boost SEO for their own websites—but not for those hoping to hide their Facebook comments. The change could lead to Facebook becoming even more ubiquitous, as it will pay off more for sites to use Facebook comments than any other commenting system such as Disqus or Intense Debate, which at this point still cannot be searched via Google or other search engines.
