“iPhone Killer”? Not so much: Google has discontinued the Nexus One—the smart phone that the company launched to much fanfare in January. Originally, Google sold the phone at a special online store; when sales were disappointing, it started selling the phone out of cell-phone outlets, but business didn’t pick up. While the phone is going away, the software it runs—Android—remains incredibly popular.
