Guess they really didn’t want to stay up all night: Senate Republicans have abandoned their three-day-old filibuster of financial reform after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid threatened them with an all-night session on Wednesday. Republican Senator Richard Shelby said Democrats have assured him that they’ll address some of his concerns once debate begins on the bill; Republicans will attempt to change the bill to their liking on the Senate floor.
