Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) apologized Wednesday after a graphic image of his genitals and a screenshot of a sext he sent circulated online, the Texas Tribune reported. “While separated from my second wife, prior to the divorce, I had sexual relationships with other mature adult women,” he said. “Each was consensual. Those relationships have ended. I am sorry I did not use better judgment during those days. I am sorry that I let my constituents down.” Barton is the longest-serving congressman from Texas and announced his re-election bid earlier this month. It is unclear how the pictures showed up online, but according to TMZ, the user who first posted them said they have more images and claimed to have been “harassed” by Barton.
