Dr. Kermit Gosnell. (Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, via AP)
Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell has been found guilty of killing three babies born alive but acquitted of killing a fourth. He was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for the death of a female patient who died of an overdose. Gosnell faced 250 charges, including the four counts of murder. Prosecutors said Gosnell cut the spines of infants after delivering them, but Gosnell’s lawyer maintained that no babies were delivered alive. Prosecutors will seek the death penalty.
