New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been named as the target of a bizarre plot in which an alleged Ku Klux Klan member was trying to sell a mobile radiation device that would shoot a lethal beam at the politician, as well as at Muslims, according to unnamed sources reported in the New York Daily News. Glendon Crawford, a General Electric industrial mechanic, has been charged with working to build a device that could “covertly omit [sic] ionizing radiation strong enough to bring about radiation sickness or death against Crawford’s enemies.” Sounds bad, but John Duncan in the U.S. Attorney’s Office said there was no imminent danger. “It was being closely monitored,” Duncan said. “No individual was ever at risk.”
