Grocery Store Shooting Kills Three

A shooting inside Martin’s Super Market in Elkhart, Ind., Wednesday night left two women and one male gunman dead. The gunman reportedly entered the store around 10 p.m. and began shooting, killing a female shopper described as in her forties, and a female employee in her late teens or early twenties. The gunman, who is reportedly a white male in his late teens or early twenties, was shot and killed by police after he pointed a gun at them. “That’s today’s society, unfortunately,” Indiana State Police Sgt. Trent Smith said. “We live in that world. There is not a day that goes by it seems anymore that we aren’t learning about a school shooting or at a business. We hope this would never come to our hometown, and here it is.” Amen.
