Guccifer Arrested in Romania

Guccifer, the notorious hacker accused of exposing Colin Powell’s personal emails and kick-starting the painting career of G.W. Bush by leaking a series of his paintings, was arrested last night in Romania, according to authorities there. Marcel Lazăr Lehel, 40, whose hacker pseudonym was Guccifer, had already been convicted last year for hacks targeting high-level Romanian officials, but received a suspended sentence. So, while he got away with going after a former U.S. president and Sex and the City writer Candace Bushnell, it seems that a recent attack on the head of Romanian Intelligence Service was the final straw.
