Gwyneth Paltrow has filed a countersuit in response to a lawsuit alleging she severely injured another skier during a 2016 “hit-and-run ski crash” in Deer Valley, Utah. Terry Sanderson alleges Paltrow was out of control on the slopes and hit him from behind, causing several injuries. The actress, and queen of Goop, now alleges that she was actually the victim of the crash. In her suit, Paltrow cites the ski resort’s incident report, stating that Sanderson “took her out from behind,” and that he is quoted as saying, “she appeared right in front of him, thus admitting he was the uphill skier,” according to court documents obtained by TMZ. Paltrow also claims that Sanderson and one of his friends told ski patrol they were fine after the crash. Sanderson is suing for more than $3 million; Paltrow is asking for $1. She stated that if the court awards her more, she will donate it to charity, in order to prove she’s not trying to “exploit her celebrity and wealth,” as Sanderson has claimed.
