‘NEW AND IMPROVED’

Hackers Take Over Lenovo Website

A cyberattack took aim Tuesday at Chinese computer maker Lenovo’s website, replacing the site’s content with photos of bored-looking teenagers set to the song “Breaking Free” from High School Musical. The attack comes a week after Lenovo was criticized for including an encryption-breaking adware program called Superfish within its computers. The hacked website’s source code called itself “the new and improved rebranded Lenovo website featuring Ryan King and Rory Andrew Godfrey,” both publicly identified members of Lizard Squad, the hacking group that last made headlines for bringing down Sony’s PlayStation Network and Microsoft’s Xbox Live over the Christmas holiday.
