Although the L.A. County Coroner's autopsy found that illegal drugs were not a factor in the 38-year-old actor's death, Attorney General Jerry Brown cites Corey Haim's case as an example of prescription-drug abuse. According to Brown, the ‘80s star went "doctor shopping" and found seven different doctors to prescribe powerful medications, ultimately obtaining at least 553 pills from at least seven different pharmacies, emergency rooms, and urgent-care facilities, sometimes using an alias. Haim died in a hospital on March 10, after being found unconscious at his mother's home.
