Two weeks after the devastating earthquake that flattened Port-au-Prince, U.S. troops pulled a 35-year-old Haitian man clad only in underwear alive from the rubble. It was unclear whether the man, who was rescued with a crushed leg, had been trapped by the initial earthquake or by one of the aftershocks that rocked the city. Meanwhile, Haiti's cell phone system has begun to come back online, delivering chilling text messages and voicemails sent during the quake to survivors. Rene Emile, 32, received a two-week old text from her husband, who had been trapped beneath the college where he was taking classes. It read, "Send help, we are still alive. May the Lord bless you and keep you, his face shine upon you. I love you."
