In response to the mass shooting at an Orlando gay nightclub, which left at least 50 people dead, the cast of Broadway smash hit Hamilton has decided to drop the use of muskets from their performance during Sunday evening’s Tony Awards. Hours before the awards ceremony, Orlando's mayor uploaded a heartfelt message of thanks to Broadway for its outpouring of support over the mass shooting. "Thank you, Broadway, for standing with us during our time of great need," Mayor Buddy Dyer said. "When the light rose today on Orlando, the city beautiful, we quickly saw how unity and support can bring peace and love to every life."
