Hannah Anderson may now be alive and safe, but new details suggest that her mother and 8-year-old brother suffered a terrible ordeal before they were killed. According to formerly sealed warrants that were released on Wednesday, Anderson's kidnapper, James Lee DiMaggio "tortured and killed his best friend's wife and 8-year-old son. DiMaggio also shot and killed the family dog," according to one of the affidavits. "After the double homicide, DiMaggio set the house on fire." A preliminary autopsy showed that DiMaggio was shot at least five times during a confrontation in the Idaho wilderness by an FBI tactical agent.
