It’s hard to wear pants when you’re sporting knee pads. Madonna performed in 1990 in an all black get-up—clad with fingerless gloves and a top hat—in Osaka, Japan.

At the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, Madonna proved that she, and her fashion, is timeless. The singer wore a garter, platform pumps, and a fur-collared jacket and leaving—as always—her pants at home.
