Frances Bay, who played the grandmother role in Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore and the "marble rye lady" in an episode of Seinfeld, died at the age of 92. Bay was a housewife when she found success as an actress in middle age, appearing in more than 50 films and 100 TV shows. She was also Fonzie's grandmother in Happy Days and a regular character actress for director David Lynch.
