Harvard Staff Hate Obamacare Now

The Harvard faculty thought Obamacare sounded good—until they were forced to pay for it. For years, the university’s health economics and policy experts consulted the White House and Congress on how to change the health-care system. Last month, though, the same people voted overwhelmingly against changes brought by the Affordable Care Act that would require them to pay more for insurance. The vote wasn’t enough to halt the price hike, which took effect this month. “Harvard is a microcosm of what’s happening in health care in the country,” said David Cutler, a health economist at the university, which has prevented the highest cost of insurance from being passed on to employees.
