The now infamous HBO hackers released their second document leak, this time with a video containing the ransom note sent to HBO’s CEO Richard Plepler. In the note, the hackers call themselves “whitehat hackers” writing, “it’s very shameful if you compare us with some noisy & amateur blackhat ones like Darkoverlord.” But not only do the hackers ask for money and threaten to release Season 8 of Game of Thrones, they score the video to music from Season 6’s epic episode where Cersei bombs the Great Sept of Baelor. As the hauntingly beautiful melody builds, the hackers drop their “Final Quotes,” which are their reminders of the information they obtained. They end with the option of two mottos: “Winter is Coming—HBO is Falling” or “Winter is Coming—HBO is Standing and EverLasting!”
