HBO Producer Sentenced for Moving Body of Mom Who Overdosed

An HBO producer was sentenced on Tuesday to a year and a day in prison for moving the body of a woman who overdosed on cocaine in 2015. The mother, Kiersten Cerveny, died in October 2015, and 53-year-old Marc Henry Johnson pleaded guilty earlier this year to accessory. Cerveny and Johnson met up before going to a drug dealer’s apartment in New York. “My guess [is] we would not be sitting here had Mr. Johnson immediately called 911,” Manhattan Federal Judge Jesse Furman said. “For all we know, she could have been saved.”
