A medical examiner determined Tuesday that Evan Murray, the New Jersey high school quarterback who died after a game last week, lost his life because of a lacerated spleen. Murray had an enlarged spleen which made it more susceptible to injury, according to the medical examiner. There was no evidence of head trauma or heart disease.
