Hillary Clinton on Thursday dodged questions about whether she informed her running mate Tim Kaine of her pneumonia diagnosis. Appearing at a press conference following a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, the Democratic nominee simply said, “My senior staff knew,” when asked if Kaine knew of the illness. Kaine has previously told reporters that he was told of Clinton’s ailment on Sunday, after she left a ceremony at the 9/11 memorial appearing faint and “overheated.” Despite refusing to confirm whether she’d told Kaine prior to publicly disclosing the diagnosis, Clinton maintained that she feels “very comfortable and confident about our relationship.”
