Hollande Support Up After Affair

In some countries, a good economy wins over the people; in France it’s a steamy affair. French President Francois Hollande’s popularity has risen from a record low according to a poll conducted in the aftermath of reports about an affair between the president and actress Julie Gayet. The president still remains unpopular, but his popularity rose to 26 percent. A separate poll has 77 percent of the French population saying the affair is a private matter. Hollande’s partner, journalist Valerie Trierweiler, has been in the hospital since reading of the affair.
