Aravind Adiga’s prize-winning novel to become a film.

After Slumdog Millionaire, this one's likely to be a hit: The White Tiger, Aravind Adiga's debut novel that won the Man Booker Prize in 2008, will be made into a movie by playwright and screenwriter Hanif Kureishi. It tells the rags-to-riches story of an Indian village boy who rises to power as an entrepreneur, and, according to The New York Times, is a "parable of the new India" with a "distinctly macabre twist."
