Before the bloodshed in Aurora, Colorado, James Holmes’s psychiatrist alerted campus police to her dangerous client. A search-warrant affidavit released with other unsealed documents Thursday shows that a University of Colorado psychiatrist who treated the alleged shooter told campus police of her patient’s homicidal thoughts and the risk he posed. Dr. Lynne Fenton also said that Holmes threatened and intimidated her via text message. On Monday prosecutors in the trial announced they would seek the death penalty against Holmes.
