Honoring Courageous Women

Vote!

The DVF Awards have been narrowed down to five finalists whose unyielding work has transformed the lives of other women. Vote here for the winners.

The DVF Awards were created last year by Diane von Furstenberg and the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation. And after a very successful debut, they’re doing it again. Strong women are recognized for transforming their societies and the lives of other women with $50,000 toward their cause. You can watch videos of the finalists and cast your vote here.

This year’s finalists are: Susannah Shakow, of runningstartonline.org, which helps young women break into politics; Malika Saada Saar of the Rebecca project for helping women in both the U.S. and Africa; Taryn Davis, of American Widow Project, which provides support to the widows of veterans; Lyn Pentecost, whose organization, The Lower Eastside Girls Club, pulls together women of all ages to create a strong network for girls, and Zeinab Eyega of Sauti Yetu (meaning Our Voices in Swahili), which works on sexual and gender-based violence.
