The man who brought Freddy Krueger and the freaky masked killers of Scream into your nightmares has passed away. Wes Craven, director of A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Hills Have Eyes, The Last House on the Left, Scream, and a host of other horror films, died Sunday after a battle with brain cancer. Craven was 76.
