Hot-Car Death Dad Charged for Sexting With Minors

The father charged with leaving his infant son to die in a hot car two years ago has also been charged for sexually explicit photos of underage girls. Justin Ross Harris was arrested in June 2014 after his 22-month-old son died in the back seat of his SUV; he was charged with malice murder, felony murder, and child cruelty, and is set to go on trial in April. The new charges—two for sexual exploitation of children and six on dissemination of harmful material to minors—stem from incidents before his son’s death, in which Harris allegedly swapped explicit photographs with three female minors. The defendant is also alleged to have had sexually explicit conversations with a minor on the very day his son died.
