The pressure is rising on Anthony Weiner: Rep. Allyson Schwartz of Pennsylvania has called on the embattled congressman to resign after he sent lewd photos of himself via Twitter. In a statement, Schwartz called Weiner’s behavior offensive and said that having the respect of one’s constituents is fundamental for a member of Congress. Democrats have so far been unwilling to call for Weiner to resign, though many of them have indicated that they wish he would step down. Weiner has not made any comments since a news conference on Monday, when he said he would not be offering his resignation.
