Shortly after President Trump called former FBI director James Comey a liar and pledged “100%” to testify under oath to his version of their interactions, the House Intelligence Committee has requested that Comey turn over his now-famous memos. And for good measure, now that Trump has again intimated that he had Comey on tape, the panel asked White House counsel Don McGahn for “any White House recordings or memoranda” to be turned over by June 23. Intriguingly, the committee wants McGahn to specify if any recordings existed "in the past," opening the door to potential destruction of evidence.
