House Overwhelmingly Rejects Trump Impeachment

The House of Representatives on Wednesday voted overwhelmingly to table an impeachment resolution against President Donald Trump. The vote on the measure, which was introduced by Rep. Al Green (D-TX), was 364 to 58. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) issued a joint statement before the vote on Wednesday saying that “now is not the time to consider articles of impeachment.” Both leaders had tried to prevent the measure from even coming up for a vote.
