If Anthony Weiner, a.k.a. Carlos Danger, miraculously survives his second sexting scandal, his wife, Huma Abedin, deserves all the credit. Yesterday Abedin defended her husband in a historically awkward press conference, and today Harper’s Bazaar released a story, written a week ago, in which she make the case for Mayor Weiner. Weiner, she writes in a piece called “The Good Wife,” “has always been a smart, caring, and dedicated person, and while he’s the same public servant who wants what’s best for the people he represents, he is now something else—a better man.” She says that she decided to give him a second chance, and that now New Yorkers face the same choice.
