Huntsman Moves Campaign to NH

Jon Huntsman is doubling down on New Hampshire. The Republican presidential candidate is moving his campaign headquarters there from Florida. One adviser called the move a “course correction” for the campaign, which just had a bleak fundraising quarter and is trailing in the polls. By focusing on the nation’s first primary, the Huntsman campaign hopes to reverse the downward trend. “Success in New Hampshire is vital for our campaign to have the momentum we need to succeed in South Carolina, Florida and the states that follow,” said Huntsman’s campaign manager. Huntsman pointed out that New Hampshire, in addition to being the first primary, “is not an overly expensive market.”
