Hurricane Brews, Meteorologists Stranded

Thanks to government shutdown.

Get aready for this to become the latest political prop in the shutdown battle. With a “near 100 percent” chance that Tropical Storm Karen, currently barreling toward Louisiana, will turn into a hurricane, and other possible weather disasters on the horizon, many of the nation’s meteorologists are stuck at home, due to the government shutdown over stalled budget negotiations. Essential personnel are still on the job, but administrators who might help connect offices have been furloughed and most government websites are not being maintained. Obama has been recalling furloughed FEMA employees in case of emergency.
