ICE to Deport Brazilian Woman After Attack on Man in MAGA Hat in Mexican Restaurant

Brazilian citizen Rosiane Santos was detained and is facing deportation after a video surfaced of her attacking a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” baseball cap in a Mexican restaurant in Massachusetts. Santos, who officials said is in the U.S. illegally, has been “entered into removal proceedings in federal immigration courts and provided a Notice to Appear at a future date before an immigration judge,” according to a statement by Immigration and Customs Enforcement published by ABC News. The man wearing the hat, Bryton Turner, posted a video of the incident on his Facebook page in mid-February. He can be heard saying, “I’m just trying to sit here and eat a nice meal. You see this? People like that, that’s the problem. That’s the problem with America these days,” he said. He also wrote a caption on his post explaining his version of events: “Went out with some friends trying to enjoy some dinner and drinks when this ignoramus randomly tried to hit my hat off and started yelling at me (assault + drunk and disorderly). I wasn’t going to press charges, but in front of four cops she did it again, so now she’s going to jail.”
