Prominent Indian activist Anna Hazare ended his three-day protest fast on Wednesday, a day after Parliament’s lower house passed new anti-corruption legislation. Hazare, 74, was forced to end the fast early because of poor health conditions, but he has dismissed the new anti-graft watchdog bill as weak, saying it won’t have any power over India’s corrupt Central Bureau of Investigation. He has vowed to spend the next year traveling across the country to vote against the government in upcoming state elections.
