Indiana Diverts Syrian Refugee Family

After waiting three years.

A refugee family from Syria that had waited three years to officially enter the United States were told Wednesday that they would find a home in Indiana. But at the last minute, they were rerouted to Connecticut after Gov. Mike Pence decided that no more refugees would be accepted in his state. He is just one of over two dozen governors who have set such a ban, causing complications for the U.S. government in its efforts to resettle refugees.
