Mark Mayfield, one of the three men accused of working with the man who broke into a Mississippi nursing home to photograph Sen. Thad Cochran’s wife, has committed suicide. Mayfield was vice chairman of the Mississippi Tea Party. He was arrested last month along with a high-school soccer coach and elementary school P.E. teacher and faced felony charges for tampering with evidence.
