I always thought Burning Man would be my worst nightmare. And it was... but I liked it. The whole scene was eye opening if not overwhelming at times. There is a sort of controlled chaos that builds and eventually explodes with the symbolic burning of The Man- a powerful reminder of who we are and who we are not. #burningman2014 #iphonephoto

This is Aron Ralston @captainfunhog and @timmyoneill climbing in Yosemite Valley a few years back. In 2003 Aron survived a canyoneering accident during which he amputated his own right arm- incredible. Timmy has co-founded a non-profit organization for disabled out door athletes called @paradoxsports Check them out and get involved.

#t4tuesday This is Brent Edelen, a beekeeper from Colorado standing on top of the El Capitan spire, Salathe Wall, Yosemite Valley. Circa 2002 or 2003. Since he was going to basically drag me up the thing I offered to by all the food for the 5 day climb. His only requests were vodka and chewing tobacco- which you can see here. He'd start the day with a dip (no breakfast) and end it with a shot. This didn't sit well with my queasy stomach, although I did eventually partake in a few shots- kinda perfect at the end of a hard day. I took this photo with my #yashicat4 using Provia slide film.

Driving...near Valle Chacabuco in Patagonia, Chile. Circa 2008. This was shot during the filming of #180south. I had been traveling nearly 6 months, mostly by boat, and I needed to cut loose a little. My mode of transport was this old Chevy- perfect for the seemingly endless dirt roads down there. Chris Malloy shot this with my camera and @modermoder happened to get it on film. Trip of a lifetime. To see the work Kris and Doug Tompkins are doing in the area please check out @conservacionpatagonica
