After restricting opposition leaders Mirhossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi to their homes for weeks, Iran finally made it official and placed them under arrest, reports the opposition website Kaleme. "Sources say that they have been arrested and transferred to Heshmatiyeh jail in Tehran," said Kaleme. Mousavi’s daughters say they had been prevented from visiting the house where their father was being held since February 14. The lights of their apartment have been off in the two weeks, and no contact has been established. Saham News, Karoubi’s website, also reports that a neighbor saw eight vans full of security forces surround Karoubi’s house. Iranian state and security officials and media have refrained from responding to inquiries regarding the limitations placed upon the Green leaders.
