Leaders in Iran said Wednesday that there is “no nuclear activity whatsoever” at a military site where U.N. inspectors were denied access. Parchin, a military base in the Islamic Republic, drew the attention of U.N. watchdogs, but “it is up to the country’s military officials to decide any request by foreign nationals to visit” the site, said the head of Iran’s Nuclear Energy Organization. The International Atomic Energy Agency said in a November report that it believed equipment at Parchin could be used to test explosives necessary to designing a nuclear warhead.
