Iran Rebuffs Clinton's 'Hello'

Diss

Foreign minister ignored Sec. of State at conference.

Oh no he didn’t. At a Bahrain security conference Friday, the Iranian foreign minister, Manouchehr Mottaki, concentrated on his dinner while Secretary of State Hillary Clinton focused in directly and overtly on Iran during her remarks from the podium. Afterward, she saw Mottaki as she walked toward the exit. “I said ‘Hello, minister.’ He just turned away,” she later told reporters. In her speech, Clinton encouraged Iranians to become a full and responsible member of the international community. Mottaki denies ever slighting Clinton. The talk comes just days before Iran is set to meet with six world powers, including the United States, in Geneva to discuss the country’s nuclear program.
