Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich are still in the GOP primary, but in the way the Santorum team sees it, this might as well be a two man race. So why not hold some one-on-one debates, like the ones Obama and Hillary did back in 2008? Santorum communications director Hogan Gidley suggested the idea to the Huffington Post Wednesday, saying "I'm just wondering if someone calls for that this time." Daily reporter Dan Hirschhorn tweeted earlier Wednesday, "Santorum camp starting to push the idea of 1-on-1 debates with Romney, a la Clinton vs. Obama in 2008. 'we've earned the right' 1 aide says."
