The Islamic State released what it says is a recording of its reclusive leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, The New York Times reported Thursday. The 46 minutes of audio is the first recording of al-Baghdadi since last November. The release is seemingly intended to squash rumors that the self-proclaimed caliph has died, as well as to rally his battered fighters.
